Believers in Christ began as a home bible study group back in 1978. In 1998, we incorporated as a non-profit church and met in various locations around Palestine until building our home church in 2015.
Welcome to our community! We are a gathering of people dedicated to exploring the life and teachings of Jesus, and we invite you to join us on this journey. Whether you are full of questions, seeking a spiritual home, or ready to dive into service, you belong here. Our doors are open to everyone who desires to learn more about God’s love and put that love into action. Come as you are, and let’s grow in faith and serve Christ together.
What We Believe
We are a vibrant, non-denominational community rooted in the belief that Jesus Christ is our living Lord and Savior—yesterday, today, and forever. We embrace the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a vital experience for every believer, empowering us to live out our faith with boldness and purpose here and now. Following the biblical pattern, we actively welcome and cultivate the spiritual gifts promised in Scripture, believing they are essential tools for building up the church and serving our world. Here, you’ll find a space where the presence of God is prioritized and His promises are pursued with expectancy for all eternity.

Our Pastor
Harold Fox
Pastor Fox grew up in Palestine, Texas. The son, of Marlin "Lefty" & Virginia Fox, he graduated from Palestine High School in 1967. He received a football scholarship to Texas Technological College (now known as Texas Tech University) where he started in fall of 1967. After suffering a football injury that ended his sports career, he returned home and married his high school sweetheart, Beverly (Kay) Thomas Fox in 1968 before enlisting in the Army and heading to Japan. It was during his time in the service that he felt the call to serve the Lord. Upon his Honorable discharge in 1971, he returned home to work for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, from which he retired in 2001. In 1973 he began mentoring under the Apostle John Carter Watts and was ordained in 1976 by Brother Jack Smith and the Deacons and Elders of the Back To The Bible Church in Oakwood, Texas. He mentored with Brother Watts until his passing and then joined Brother Robert Ewing of the Grace Gospel Campground Ministries, ministering in churches across Europe, Canada, Mexico, Japan, and throughout the continental United States. In 2004, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary and then again n 2007, with his Master of Divinity Degree. Pastor Fox and his wife Kay have six children, multiple grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
